The World's Best BBQ Pork Ribs

Last week I told you that I have worked many different jobs.  I worked at a dude ranch in Colorado.  I wore different hats while working there.  One of the things I did was help in the kitchen.  I picked up several different recipes while I was there.  One was the Cowboy Cookies that I shared last week.  Today's recipe from the ranch is BBQ Pork Ribs.  They are soooo good.  They are what turned me back to BBQ sauce.

My dad began to cook for our family when my mom went to work outside our home when I was in high school.  My dad's secret ingredient was BBQ sauce, and it wasn't all the best flavor to mix with the other ingredients he used.  It took me about 6 years before I would eat it.  This BBQ sauce can be used on chicken as well.

BBQ Pork Ribs

St. Louis style spare ribs (1 rack of ribs per 2 people)
brown sugar
white pepper
chopped garlic
pineapple juice

BBQ Sauce

1 - 18 oz KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce
3/4 cup  brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 drop Tabasco sauce
(You may need to double or triple depending how many racks you are cooking.)

Preheat oven to 350. Place ribs in a 9 x 13 (or larger) pan.  Rub both sides of ribs with brown sugar, pepper, and garlic.  Pour pineapple juice over ribs so there is about 1.5 to 2 inches deep in the pan.

Cover with foil.  Cook in oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.  The ribs should pull apart easily.

Preheat your grill by turning it on high for at least 15 minutes and then turn to low when you put the ribs on the grill.  Remove ribs from pan and cut apart in two rib bones per piece. Dip each piece in the BBQ sauce.
