Berry Salad

Strawberry Raspberry Salad
A Strawberry Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette
As Kerry mentioned recently, it's berry season!  {Go check out her Fresh Berry Crumb Pie and Jamie's Fresh Strawberry Muffins for other great berry recipes} So when I saw this recipe for Strawberry Salad from 4 Little Fergusons, I knew I needed to try it. {If you've never read her blog, go check it out!  She has great recipes and a whole lot more! And she has 4 kids just like me, which automatically makes her awesome, right?}

A couple weeks ago, we had friends over for lunch after church and I knew it was a great chance to try it out.  Since her recipe was just for one, I had to use a lot more of everything and of course made some changes, some of out necessity since my store did not carry the dressing in the recipe.  So I bought a Raspberry Vinaigrette and it turned out great!

When I was able to harvest my first bit of lettuce & salad greens from my garden, I was excited to be able to make the salad again this time just for me. I also tried it with meat this time. I also figured it was time to share the recipe with you guys.

3 slices avocado, cut into bite size pieces
4-5 strips of grilled chicken (optional)

Wash and dry lettuce, then rip into bite size pieces.
Add all your vegetable to the bed of lettuce. Then add cold grilled chicken (I used leftover fajita chicken) and strawberries.
