Homemade Creamy Maple Syrup

Tired of not knowing what in the world is in your syrup? The ingredients sound kind of creepy, if you ask me. This recipe is for creamy maple flavored syrup, that is quick and easy to make, and requires just 5 ingredients! (and they're ones you've heard of and can pronounce!)

Creamy Maple Syrup
1 1/2 Cups Corn Syrup
3 Cups Sugar
3/4 Cups Water
1 Tbsp. Maple Flavoring
1 (12 oz.) Can Evaporated Milk

In a large pot, combine corn syrup, sugar, water, and maple flavoring.
Bring to a boil while stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes to cool. Then stir in the can of evaporated milk.
Once you've stirred it together well, pour the mixture into empty syrup bottles, or whatever kind of bottles you would like.
Makes approximately 40 ounces.
*This DOES need to be refrigerated, since it has evaporated milk in it.

  1. Hi! Followed you over from Julia Kendrick.com blog hop. These looks great and easy enough to make, but dumb question, what is maple flavoring, like a maple flavored extract? Now following you on FB.
